Our Future…
Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. We are failing them. In 2016, suicide became the #2 killer of kids. In 2020 a study revealed that 78% of students felt lonely. It’s ironic that so many kids could feel lonely. We live in the most technologically connected culture ever.
The solution? One thing we can do is make certain our children feel loved and accepted. Hold them accountable for their actions, but don’t let them feel unloved because they made a mistake or two.
We must turn this around, and fast. It begins with us…
Guarded…
On social media, we see pictures and posts of perfect lives. This is great! We should celebrate happy moments. Yet, think of how much compassion we would see from others if we sometimes showed how hellish life can be. Something worth considering…
Kindness Matters…
Every person you encounter has something troubling them. You probably will not see it on the surface level, but that doesn’t make it less real. Slow down and show kindness to everyone, even the people who don’t deserve it. They need kindness shown to them the most, and you will benefit as well…
Regrets…
Every one of us has regrets. I encourage you to not allow them to dominate your thoughts. Look to the future with hope and optimism. Make the rest of your life a life of purpose and meaning, a life without regrets…

Sometimes we encounter people who seem to be angry about everything. Try to be patient with them. Their hurt comes from deep within, and it manifests in an unhealthy way. Pray for them…

To build muscle, we feel the pain of lifting weights. To build resilience, we must face our challenges head on. There is no way around them. Pain is the gateway to strength…
Opinions…
We concern ourselves about what others think of us. Their opinions do not matter because they have no authority over our lives. Focus on yourself, and take care of yourself mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Everything will fall into place. Let others think whatever they want. You know the truth…
Rainy Days…
I love the rain. We seldom see much rain in Texas, so perhaps the rarity of rain makes me appreciate it more. It’s the same with the people we are grateful for in our lives. Let’s make sure they know they are appreciated and loved by our actions…
