Texting

Texting has made us lazy. Texting is convenient for quick check-ins, but they aren’t conversations.

Electronics have practically taken over our lives. Email, ZOOM and instant messaging are great for saving time. Yet, we need to make time for others. We need human connection, and you cannot get the same effect from a screen.

Replacing the sound of another voice seems to be the norm nowadays. Let’s change that…

Fear of Missing Out…

People will make emotional decisions when they feel like they might miss out on something. I encourage you to use wisdom and discernment when faced with big decisions. Pray about them, and listen for the voice of our Creator to guide you…

Our Future…

Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. We are failing them. In 2016, suicide became the #2 killer of kids. In 2020 a study revealed that 78% of students felt lonely. It’s ironic that so many kids could feel lonely. We live in the most technologically connected culture ever.

The solution? One thing we can do is make certain our children feel loved and accepted. Hold them accountable for their actions, but don’t let them feel unloved because they made a mistake or two.

We must turn this around, and fast. It begins with us…

Searching…

Everyone you meet is searching for two things: their identity and their purpose. We have this in common. Focus on connecting with others by seeing them this way, not through our obvious differences. Make an impact on someone…
