What To Say…
What do you say when you don’t know what to say?
Thursday evening, I received an email from a dear friend of mine. She was letting me know that her beautiful, bright 24 year old daughter had committed suicide in early July. I was stunned and extremely sad at the same time. You want to say something to take away the pain they are feeling, but there are no words. All I could say was that I would keep her and all of her family in my prayers, praying for peace and clarity. And that I was sending light and love to them.
There are no words in these situations. Just be there.

Have you noticed how people become “experts” in whatever the divisiveness of the day is? One day we have experts in the constitution, followed by the epidemiologists, and then the same people become military strategists. Opinions are merely opinions, not facts. Seek truth, nothing more…

All of us show faith every day. If we get on a jet airplane, we trust the pilot knows how to fly. We pump gas into our cars without verifying it really is gasoline and not water. Let’s trust our Creator, who is good, to provide what we need. He’s always awake, and never tired of hearing our prayers. Have faith, not doubts…
