Guilty!!!

In the United States, our law states that an accused person is innocent until proven guilty. Sounds fair, right? It is fair until emotions get involved.

Former President Donald Trump was accused of being in bed (figuratively) with Russia. All the people who hate Trump believed it because their hatred blinded them. When “Russia-gate” was shown to be a hoax, some still refused to believe the truth about it. The truth still matters.

There are thousands of examples where we condemn people before they have their day in court. Think of how you would want to be treated if you were on the receiving end of false accusations. Let’s show others some grace.

After all, the truth still matters…

Misnomers

The legislation called “The Inflation Reduction Act” is one of the best examples of a misnomer in recent history. Why not introduce the “Crime Elimination Act” or the “Stop Fatherless Homes Act?”

All politicians realize if they called many of their bills what they really represented, the people would call them out on it.

The point is, when something doesn’t sound right, question it. Think…

Entertainers and Politics

For over 20 years, there has been a growing trend for those in the entertainment world to willingly share their views on political and societal issues. In my opinion, they may keep their opinions to themselves.

We go to concerts, movies and the theater to escape the real world for a short while. Life is still waiting for us after the show. We want the world to be right for just a couple of hours.

Be Strong Enough

Why are we tearing each other apart over political differences?

All of us have beliefs and convictions. It’s not a threat to allow others to challenge us. Living in an echo chamber, aligning yourself only with those who agree with you is dangerous and limits open-mindedness. Be confident. Be strong enough to accept others where they are…

My Interview With Vic Feazell, Part 1

Vic Feazell was the District Attorney in McClennan County when he received a call from the renowned Texas Rangers. The Rangers had a man in custody who had confessed to three murders in Vic’s jurisdiction, and they wondered if Vic wanted to have his picture taken with the Rangers when they closed out the cases? When you are a politician whose political stock was on the rise, of course you say yes to The Rangers. Only problem was, the man who confessed to the Rangers had not committed the murders. When Vic got suspicious, all hell broke loose.
On December 6, 2019, “The Confession Killer” was released on Netflix as a five-part documentary. Listen to one of the key players from the documentary. Click on the link to watch…

Unified…

How do you get two people who see things differently to come together? You don’t, because it’s already happening. No one is in perfect alignment with anyone else. God made us different from each other in every way. I’m guessing He likes variety, but I doubt He likes seeing his children at each other’s throats. Recognize our differences, even within our own families. Embrace the differences and unify. We are better together…
