The Power Within…
In my book, “Killing My Father Then Finding Him,” I wrote about the power of forgiveness. True forgiveness frees you from anger, bitterness and resentment. It takes time and it takes courage to forgive. It takes those same qualities to face your fears. You have the power within yourself to accomplish anything you want to. All it takes is one brave step…
They Got It Right…
Have you ever noticed the overarching theme the writers, musicians and poets share? They create their magic from the feeling of love. There’s pain and heartache, and there are happy endings and elation. They got it way before the rest of us. They got it right…
No Offense…
When did we become so sensitive and get our feelings hurt over any little thing? We live in a broken world. Sometimes life is hard. You gotta have inner strength and resolve to make it. One way to build it is to focus on bigger issues than whether or not you’re being treated “fairly” or if someone is being politically correct. The world needs strong leadership…
False Advertising…

Uncommon Courage…
We love stories of bravery and courage. Remember when George McFly punched out Biff? He found uncommon courage in himself to defend the love of his life, overcoming odds in the process. We love these stories because it’s our story. We see a bit of ourselves in the uncommon hero…
False Advertising…
Madison Avenue tells us if we drink a certain beer we won’t get fat, blondes have more fun, and using certain products will make all of our problems disappear. Did not fall for it. Our minds are always working, and susceptible to suggestion. Feed your mind the truth. Only truth…
Change. Really?
Fifty years ago, the band Ten Years After released a song titled “I’d Love to Change The World.” In the lyrics, they talk of noble ideas such as feed the poor, stop war, and eliminate pollution. Yet, in the chorus the lyricist wrote, “I’d love to change the world, but I don’t know what to do.”
These world challenges are huge, almost overwhelming. But I believe we can do something about them. Change begins when we are willing to do something. Change begins with me…
