I have always been different. I like to say that I march to the beat of a different drummer, but it’s a great rhythm. Find your rhythm…

Heartache
Everyone experiences heartache and pain. Sometimes it’s so severe you don’t believe you will get through it, after the loss of a child, for example.
Pain can be used for purpose. Think of it as fuel that intensely drives you to bring good from the bad. Doing good in the world won’t take away the hurt and pain, but at least you will know it wasn’t wasted…
Contentment
Being content gives you peace. It doesn’t mean you are devoid of ambition or drive. Not at all. Contentment means you are grateful for all the good in your life. You aren’t taking anything for granted.
I’m more ambitious now than I have ever been. But if I don’t accomplish anything else, I’m content with that…
Everlasting
Does love last? The singers sing about it. The poets write about it. Yet we have a 50% divorce rate for first marriages, and the divorce rate rises for second and third marriages. Something isn’t right!
Perhaps we should consider the wise advice of the great Apostle Paul who wrote: “Love is patient, kind, and never wants it’s own way.” Something to consider…
Confidence

Habits
You have heard it said that we are creatures of habit. It’s true. Are our habits good or bad? Are they enriching our lives and the lives of others, or are they taking away from life? We have the freedom to choose our habits. Choose well…
Drains
There are those people who drain you of energy and more. I call them the “ problem-conscious” people because they have a problem for every solution you offer.
I choose to be different. My purpose is to enrich the lives of others, not drag them down. Encourage others, and gently call them out when necessary. You be different, too…
Now!
We live in what I call a, “FedEx culture.” I want it immediately. Personally , I’m impatient. I want it yesterday!
That’s not how life works. We must commit to working for what we gain. Sometimes it takes a long time to achieve our goals. The hurry up lifestyle will affect our thinking if we aren’t careful.
Take a big picture, long-term approach to life. Life happens moment-by-moment. Being hurried could make us miss some things…
