Many people like to be the center of attention. There’s nothing wrong with that. If we are drawing attention to ourselves, let’s make sure we are giving others something worth watching. Spread love and light, not hate and division…

The Rebel in Us
Surrender is a word we do not like to consider. We like to believe we are in control.
Proverbs 16:9 tells us, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord directs their steps.” God will have His way, no matter what we want. And He’s on our side, not out to get us. Trust Him.
We are naturally rebellious. When we align ourselves with the Spirit, and surrender our will, we find meaning and fulfillment…
Goodness…
There is so much goodness all around us. You have to look for it. You certainly won’t find it on the news, and oftentimes you won’t find it in church. But goodness is everywhere. It exists in the kindness of the heart of mankind.
Look for the good in others. You will find what you are looking for, and you will attract goodness into your life…
Be Heard
There are people in the world who feel like they don’t matter. The pandemic ravaged mental health, and every day there are people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
Everyone matters to God. He didn’t create us to forget about us. If your fellow man is hurting, help him and help him help himself. Speak up for the marginalized, the voiceless. Doing what’s right is rarely easy, and sometimes you have to stand alone. Stand up and be heard…
Don’t Overlook This
We can get so busy that we start taking things for granted. If we have food in our refrigerator, a safe place to live and good people in our lives, we already have what many people are praying for. Recognize, remember and be grateful for the good in your life. Don’t focus on what you lack…
My Interview With Vic Feazell, Part 2
Vic Feazell was the District Attorney in McLennan County when he discovered some inconsistencies which aroused his suspicions from the confessions of a drifter named Henry Lee Lucas. Lucas had testified to over 300 unsolved murders, including three in McLennan County. When Vic challenged the Task Force set up by the Texas Rangers, this set off a maelstrom of events which could have landed Vic in prison for 80 years.
Don’t believe in the “Deep State?” You might change your opinion after watching the second installment of our interview. Vic and I cover this, plus forgiveness, how he got into the Guiness Book of World Records and coming full circle in this concluding episode of our time together on The Determined People Podcast.
Popularity
Life isn’t a popularity contest. When you are doing what’s right, there will be times that you feel alone. Stay strong during those periods, knowing they are temporary. Goodness wins in the end…
My Interview With Vic Feazell, Part 1
Vic Feazell was the District Attorney in McClennan County when he received a call from the renowned Texas Rangers. The Rangers had a man in custody who had confessed to three murders in Vic’s jurisdiction, and they wondered if Vic wanted to have his picture taken with the Rangers when they closed out the cases? When you are a politician whose political stock was on the rise, of course you say yes to The Rangers. Only problem was, the man who confessed to the Rangers had not committed the murders. When Vic got suspicious, all hell broke loose.
On December 6, 2019, “The Confession Killer” was released on Netflix as a five-part documentary. Listen to one of the key players from the documentary. Click on the link to watch…
Personal Responsibility
There comes a great satisfaction from taking care of yourself, being responsible for your life and your choices. Mistakes happen along the way, but they are rarely intentionally made. Take care of what is important to you, be grateful, and never look down on those who don’t have it as good as you do…
This Must Stop!
For some reason, nowadays we politicize everything. We are allowing the politicians to divide us. This has to stop. We, as people, are more alike than we are different.
Most people are good at heart, and goodness transcends everything, including politics…
