Doubt

What do you do when you doubt yourself? Do you retreat, or press forward toward your goal?

Everyone has doubts. Even Olympic athletes have to overcome doubt. Fear of failure has killed more dreams than anything else. “What if I fail” is an all too familiar question. We must fight through our doubt, understanding that the road to success isn’t a paved road. It’s rocky. With potholes! And unknowns.

Press forward through doubt and discomfort. Listen to the voice of encouragement. That voice speaks the truth. Just keep going…

The Rebel in Us

Surrender is a word we do not like to consider. We like to believe we are in control.

Proverbs 16:9 tells us, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord directs their steps.” God will have His way, no matter what we want. And He’s on our side, not out to get us. Trust Him.

We are naturally rebellious. When we align ourselves with the Spirit, and surrender our will, we find meaning and fulfillment…

Ask yourself, what am I good at? What causes my heart to overflow in richness and fulfillment? This is a key to finding your purpose. Once you have found your true purpose, you know who you are…

Be Heard

There are people in the world who feel like they don’t matter. The pandemic ravaged mental health, and every day there are people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

Everyone matters to God. He didn’t create us to forget about us. If your fellow man is hurting, help him and help him help himself. Speak up for the marginalized, the voiceless. Doing what’s right is rarely easy, and sometimes you have to stand alone. Stand up and be heard…

Transformation

Recently, we began a new year. This is a time where people decide they want to make changes in their lives, and “leave the old behind.”

Real transformation happens when we are ready and willing to change. It can’t be forced, and change is available to us every day, not just at the beginning of a new year. Our mindset will determine our outcome…

Show Yourself!

People are guarded. They are afraid to show who they truly are because of the fear of judgment. We are created in the image of God. He doesn’t make mistakes, nor does he second guess himself.

People will judge you no matter what. However, they have no authority over your life. Authority belongs to God alone, and He sees who we truly are. Live your life to please Him, not the world…

Trials

Trials are placed in our lives to grow us…to strengthen us. We have a choice when faced with challenges: we can rise to the challenge or we can shrink from it. To rise, think of the trials of life as opportunities. It might not make what you are going through any easier, but it gives purpose to the challenge…
