Heaven

Heaven is real. Just because we can’t see it doesn’t make it less real. I can’t see gravity or prove how it works, but I know if I jump off a 50-story building I’m going to fall to the earth and probably die!

There is more out there than what we can see. There has to be. It’s not over and done when our bodies give out. There is an eternal place we will exist in after our human existence.

Jesus spoke of Heaven. Paul was allowed to visit it when he was still alive. There are innumerable stories of people who have died and come back to life. Many of them saw Heaven and their fear of death was removed.

Heaven is real. Believe it…

Timing

Timing is everything. God’s timing is perfect, even when I don’t agree with it or like it. But I don’t think He needs or wants my input!

Let’s look at the timing of human interaction. When you have to deliver a difficult message to a friend, the timing of your delivery is key to their receiving and listening to the message. A message given at the wrong time often falls flat, while a message delivered at the right time is well-received.

When you find yourself in this situation, remember that it might be a good idea to wait until the mood is right. Life isn’t always a good time…

Bias

Where do you go to find true, objective news? Our media outlets have become pulpits for the political leanings of the on-air talent. Op-Ed’s aren’t an improvement over television. There are left and right biases in those.

You can start with the truth in the Bible. God’s word is as true today as it was 1000 years ago. It doesn’t shift one way or another. His words are steadfast.

If something big happens in the world, you are pretty much on your own when deciding how to navigate through the crisis. God gave us a brain to think with. We don’t need the national media.

And if God has a bias, He is biased towards widows and orphans, the disenfranchised, the needy. That’s where our bias should lie, too…

When Difficulties Arise

Everyone has challenges in their lives. Our broken world sees to that. People have unresolved trauma they put off dealing with. So what do you do?

Start with prayer. Speak to the Creator of the universe and everything in it. He knows what we are going through, and He knows what will happen. Talking things out helps. It puts our challenges in perspective.

Talk to God throughout the day. He listens like no one else does. He hears what is in your heart…

Status

People are confused nowadays. They are confused because they believe their worth is tied to their status, money, zip code or position in life. They are gravely mistaken.

Our worth lies in the one who created us. God planned each and every one of us exactly how He wanted us to be. This is the foundation of our worth.

External stuff will die, but our relationship with the Creator is eternal…

Revenge

When someone wrongs us we immediately want to get them back. We feel the need to “even the score.”

This is going to happen all your life. People are flawed and broken, and broken people do things to try to break others.

I encourage you to rise above the desire for revenge. God will make things right and just. It’s up to us to trust Him to do it. In the meantime, live life fully. Do what’s right. Speak the truth and steer clear of seeking revenge…

Bold Christianity

We Christians should show we are people of faith by our actions, not just our words. Words without actions are hollow. Set the example for others and don’t make it about yourself.

There is much good that God provides beyond what is visible. I can take things for granted. I don’t have any way of knowing how many things God has protected me from. But I know He has.

Be bold in practicing your faith. In fact, be audacious…

Eternal

Eternal means something with no end but also no beginning. How does that happen?

We know God is eternal. Our home in eternity will have no end to it. This is hard to get my head around, but I don’t have to understand it to believe it. Just like gravity. I cannot explain it, yet I know better than to jump off a building because it wouldn’t end well!

We know there is more than what we see. The spiritual realm is real. Let’s work on focusing on what we can’t see beyond what we can see. It’s got eternal consequences…
