Here is my daily prayer. True story: it popped into my mind when I was sitting in church, checking out girls! When the thought grabbed me, I immediately wrote it down. If you like it, feel free to use it as your own.
“Use me. Work through me. Through my writings and through my words. Through my actions and through my deeds. Let me be a light to others in this dark world.”
Our world is dark. Be the one who brings light…
We are in a battle, a fierce battle, whether you realize it or not. Our enemy, although unseen, is very real. His name is Satan. He hates you and wants to destroy everything good in your life.
Think about it. In the world today there are children having their body parts removed because “they feel like they’re in the wrong body.” There are people who loudly praise this behavior, and we allow them to get away with it because they are doing it in the name of “freedom.” I call bullshit on this one. Where are the parents??? And what about the physicians who perform the surgery? Misleading a child is the most heinous thing you can do.
Our food supply is poisoning us through additives, fillers and pesticides. The cellular structure in our bodies are being artificially altered. Evil people are instigating this in the name of “profits.” More bullshit.
Things do not have to be this way. Turn off the television. Educate yourself. Eat good foods free of chemicals. Exercise your mind and your body.
And don’t forget to pray. It’s your only defense in this ongoing war. And the demons can’t take it…
Many people push themselves to the point of exhaustion. They never take an opportunity to rest. They feel like they must go it alone. Nothing could be further from the truth.
We have an invisible helper. His name is God. We are instructed to come to Him when we are weary. But do we? I’m guilty of going it alone, thinking that I and I alone can solve whatever I’m working on. This couldn’t be further from the truth, either.
Perhaps we should slow down a little and ask God for guidance. He will answer.
And remember to P. U. S. H.: Pray Until Something Happens…
Everyone has challenges in their lives. Our broken world sees to that. People have unresolved trauma they put off dealing with. So what do you do?
Start with prayer. Speak to the Creator of the universe and everything in it. He knows what we are going through, and He knows what will happen. Talking things out helps. It puts our challenges in perspective.
Talk to God throughout the day. He listens like no one else does. He hears what is in your heart…
Have you ever been used by someone? I believe we all have been used at one time or another. It hurts to know you were meaningless to another person.
Users have a different type of personality disorder. They can rationalize their sick behavior, never acknowledging the pain and carnage they leave in their wake. They simply move on to their next prey.
Here’s a counterintuitive way to deal with the users. Pray for them. Honestly pray for them. Prayer changes you, whether they change or not…
Life is a trip. Sometimes it’s a stroll down the yellow brick road, while other times it’s an acid trip. Either way, we are all on this trip together.
Try to find a way to encourage people you meet in this life. We don’t always know what they are going through, but we can do our best to lift them up. Perhaps it’s a genuine offer to pray for them (or with them), a smile, or maybe just making eye contact is enough.
When you give to others, you get back. And you always get more in return…
Most of my prayers are prayers of gratitude. Every good thing we have is a gift from our Creator. Our heartbeats, fresh air and our minds are things we oftentimes take for granted, yet without them we wouldn’t function well. Remember to say thank you to the One who supplies our every need…
