Broken

Everywhere you look you can see brokenness. From people to the world we live in, nothing lasts. Yet, it is possible to maintain an optimistic mindset amid the brokenness.

Look for opportunities to serve others. Lifting other people while they are in their own struggles will energize you.

Be a giver, no a taker. Leaders have a servants heart…

Progress

We set goals and objectives for our lives. We want to feel like we are growing and progressing. But old habits can be hard to break.

Commit to changing one thing that doesn’t get you where you’re trying to go. Stay with it. If you fall backwards, start again. You aren’t defeated until you decide you are.

If nothing changes, nothing changes…

Peace

Do you have anyone in your life who robs you of your inner peace? I encourage you to remove them from your life. These types of people keep you from living fully.

I understand it will be difficult for a period of time. But time will pass, and you will heal from the “loss.”

Use this time to work on yourself. Look at unhealthy patterns in your life. Then apply what you learned and you will attract more healthy people into your life. I promise…

Known

Do you have someone in your life who knows you, someone who really knows who you are? If you do, treasure them. Someone who knows you and accepts you as you are and where you are without judgment is a rare find.

All of us have a deep desire to be seen, to be heard and to be known. Yet we can create facades to keep others from getting too close. We insulate ourselves to protect ourselves.

By releasing judgment from our minds frees us to see people clearly. Let go of needing to feel protected from the world. Be yourself, your best self. The world is judging anyway. ..

Pain

The holidays are difficult for me. When I was a child, year after year brought disappointment during Christmas. It wasn’t because I didn’t get what I wanted. We were a broken family, and all I really wanted was to fix us.

Many people are living with similar pain during this season. Be mindful. Be kind. Your kindness might make all the difference to someone…

I Care

How do you show someone that you care about them? I believe you let them know they are in your thoughts, you listen to them, and you have patience with them even when you feel rushed or tired.

Caring for others is in our DNA. We are hardwired to be in relationship with others. We need people in our lives, the right people.

Take care of the people you love. Show them, don’t just tell them…
