What To Say…

What do you say when you don’t know what to say?

Thursday evening, I received an email from a dear friend of mine. She was letting me know that her beautiful, bright 24 year old daughter had committed suicide in early July. I was stunned and extremely sad at the same time. You want to say something to take away the pain they are feeling, but there are no words. All I could say was that I would keep her and all of her family in my prayers, praying for peace and clarity. And that I was sending light and love to them.

There are no words in these situations. Just be there.

The Past and The Future…

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending” –
C. S. Lewis

After my book was published, I heard from so many people who were mired in past hurts, trauma and lacking confidence. Our Creator didn’t create us to be average or mediocre. We are here for a greater purpose. Life will always be a struggle, no doubt. But I encourage you to find your purpose and live it. Bravely.

Outcomes…

All of us have regrets. We must let go of them, learn from them, and not allow ourselves to be mired down by them. Wherever you are in life, you have the ability to set the course of your own future. Ask for guidance from the Creator. He will show you the way to your destiny…

Faith…

All of us show faith every day. If we get on a jet airplane, we trust the pilot knows how to fly. We pump gas into our cars without verifying it really is gasoline and not water. Let’s trust our Creator, who is good, to provide what we need. He’s always awake, and never tired of hearing our prayers. Have faith, not doubts…

See Through…

We have a tendency to see the outside of people and project onto them how we think they are. We must look deeper, see into the heart of the person. Look beyond what you see. Remember this is a person with goals, dreams, desires, painful memories, maybe even trauma in their makeup. See through them. Get to know them…
