Insecurities

Most people are insecure about something. For example, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. I don’t know about you, but I’m more afraid of death than I am giving a speech!

We also have things we exude confidence in, our securities. Focus on those while seeking to improve on whatever might make you feel insecure…

Diversions

Diversions are defined as, “an activity that diverts the mind from tedious or serious concerns.” We all need them. Attending a concert, a play or going to the movies gives us a short window to take a break from life. Life will still be waiting for us after the show.

I encouraged you to divert your attention to something other than your problems every day. It’s healthy for you, and doesn’t make you irresponsible. It makes you a more well-rounded person…

Value

There is a trend in the United States that has been growing for quite some time. And the trend is not a good one. In fact, it’s disturbing.

What I’m talking about is the belief that we are entitled to certain things just because we were born. This is not true. We aren’t owed anything.

We have opportunities in the U. S. not everyone has. It’s up to us to take advantage of what’s in front of us. Only a lazy person would accept whatever comes along.

We value what we earn…

I Dare You!

Do you remember being dared to do stupid stuff when you were a kid? And do you remember actually taking the dare, even though you knew it would turn out badly? Stupid pride said we had to do it.

Now I will dare you to do something! I dare you to dream big, even outrageous dreams for your life. Then take a step, even a small one in the direction of your dream. And keep stepping. And no matter how many times you stumble and fall, keep getting back up. No one can keep you down except yourself.
