We must engage with our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, our kids friends and every other young person we meet. They need to know they have purpose, that their lives matter. I encourage you to have the difficult conversations. Do not hesitate, or it might be too late…

I’ve heard people say, “I live my life with no regrets.” Everyone has regrets. I certainly do. There are bad decisions, even some colossally stupid things I have done in my past. Some hurtful things I have said when I was angry. But I learned from my regrets. I don’t live in them.

Heartache

Everyone experiences heartache and pain. Sometimes it’s so severe you don’t believe you will get through it, after the loss of a child, for example.

Pain can be used for purpose. Think of it as fuel that intensely drives you to bring good from the bad. Doing good in the world won’t take away the hurt and pain, but at least you will know it wasn’t wasted…

Contentment

Being content gives you peace. It doesn’t mean you are devoid of ambition or drive. Not at all. Contentment means you are grateful for all the good in your life. You aren’t taking anything for granted.
