Several times per year I am privileged to speak to incarcerated kids. These are children ages 10-17 who have made some bad decisions. When they regain their freedom, they return home to abuse, alcoholism, drug abuse and worse. I share my life story with them, and in a short time the skin color difference, the age difference, it just melts away. They see me as one of them. Today is one of those days!
