In a world where “keeping it real ” is craved, we see people putting up facades to show us how perfect their lives are. Everyone has unseen challenges. Everyone experiences heartache. Those are more relatable than perfection. Shared experiences, good and bad, provide an empathetic response. But I believe the more “real ” ones come from bad experiences. The good ones might lead to comparison, or “one-upping” someone.
